FT Pharmacist - Mississauga

Marchese Hospital Solutions is looking for an innovative full-time Pharmacist to join our team in Mississauga. Marchese Hospital Solutions is a team of professionals who are committed to delivering innovative services in a state-of-the-art multifunctional compounding facility.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee the preparation of admixtures in a sterile environment • Provide the final review and check of all admixtures • Actively participates in the Marchese Hospital Solutions meetings with Management, bringing forward ideas for new initiatives and assuming leadership for special projects mutually agreed upon by the team • Seek opportunities to minimize risk through improvements to policies and processes that will support the reduction of errors and other factors that contribute to unintended or adverse outcomes • Act as a drug information resource for physicians and hospitals • Act as Pharmacist with Infusion speciality to guarantee the highest level of competency and staff efficiencies • Other duties as assigned

Experience/Qualifications

EDUCATION: • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy is required • Minimum of two years of active licensure with OCP required KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED: • Excellent communication skills; ability to build rapport with external medical professionals in the field and internal staff working as part of a multidisciplinary team • Knowledge and understanding of all applicable legislation as it relates to Ontario College of Pharmacists and Health Canada. • Strong clinical pharmacy skills with enhanced knowledge of patient care, drug therapies and inter-professional collaboration

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience in dealing with Ministry of Health (i.e. Health Canada) and Ontario College of Pharmacists inspections • Extensive knowledge of aseptic technique and validation experience within sterile environment. • Environmental validation of sterile facilities and microbiological validation of finished goods and critical systems is required • Quality assurance sterile operation experience. The ability to create an engaging environment and motivate team members. • Key disease state management services experience an asset e.g. palliative care and infectious disease • Experience in a hospital or community health care setting is an asset • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and critical thinking abilities. Experience in identifying troubleshooting, investigating and correcting problems affecting sterility assurance

Delivery Service

We have made changes to our pharmacy delivery services so we can continue to provide you with the customer service you have come to expect from Marchese Health Care.

Medication Delivery
• Prescriptions without refills require a minimum of 48 hours notice.
• All refill orders require a minimum of 24 hours notice.


Saturday Deliveries
• Saturday orders must be received by our Pharmacy by 11:00 a.m. for same-day delivery.
