Medical Supplies Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Medical Supplies Supervisor is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the General Medical Supplies department. The duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Leading, motivating, challenging and mentoring a staff of over twenty employees and team leads on multiple shifts, operating seven days a week.

· Participating in the ongoing coaching of staff and managing the performance review process, ensuring that all employee relations issues are properly documented.

· Reviewing staffing requirements ongoing to ensure sufficient trained resources available and proactively identifying the need to add to the staffing complement

· Ensuring new employees receive appropriate orientation to the company as per company policies and procedures and supporting documentation is filed with HR

· Documenting and following up on all customer complaints and incident reports and provide reports to applicable corporate managers as appropriate

· Involving Pro-active, regular communication and interaction with all members of the Management Team throughout the company. This includes being a leader to change, to develop, implement and manage projects and initiatives to successful completion.

· Inventory Control Management

· Developing and managing of Key Performance Indicators with an emphasis on setting, monitoring and assessing work standards and maintaining high standards of performance and quality.

· Fills production lead shifts on a regular basis and provides coverage for vacation and other absences

Responsibilities

Experience/Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

· At least three years proven management experience, including overseeing a team of over twenty employees in a continuous operation. Experienced in effectively dealing with performance management and discipline issues.

· Customer Focused: able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

· Inventory Control experience including; implementation and/or working in an automated perpetual inventory system environment. Knowledge of inventory control principles is a must, including but not limited to; minimums/maximums, Reorder quantities, cycle counts etc.

· Intermediate level computer skills (MS Office Suite) and hands on, working knowledge of an ERP system

· Completion of courses in warehouse management and logistics is an asset

· Health Care experience is an asset

- Drivers license and automobile is required, as there may be some travel between various locations
